The Meatloaf Sandwich Club is a group of five guys who work in various roles at a vendor company for Microsoft. Our goal is to enjoy a variety of delicious meatloaf sandwich. Every week, one member of the club will bring in a 2 pound meatloaf of their choice along with bread and condiments. The club will then devour said foodstuffs. This blog will chronicle the meatloaves shared in this group with recipes, pictures, and sharp commentary.
Here’s a picture of the club members at our weekly meeting:

Tony’s meatloaf. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Very tender and extremely flavourful. The homemade ciabatta was a nice touch as well and complimented this excellent selection at the inaugural meatloaf club meeting.
Nice job Tony!

There are many things on the horizon for the meatloaf sandwich club. We have secured our own jars of Helman’s mayo and Plochman’s mustard. They are located in a fridge, somewhere on the grounds of the office building we all work in; and are appropriately labeled “Property of Meatloaf Sandiwch Club.”
Tony got things going in the right direction with his first offering. The loaf was fantastic, with the onions and such. A person could certainly tell that Tony went to a lot of effort in preparing it. I must say though, the bread was a bit hard. I am not a fan of hard bread, but this had a great taste. It’s just that my jaws got a little tired halfway through my second go. I do applaud the effort, as I wouldn’t expect any member of the club to actually bake their own bread.
I don’t want to say too much about what I have in store for this week’s meatloaf, other than it will truly be a holiday treat. Maybe Tony can bring in some egg nog, or just the Maker’s.

This looks like a group of serious meatloaf eaters, including my baby brother on the right. Is it coincidental that the meatloaf-tasting is right alongside the first aid station?

Do meatloaf sandwiches need to be served warm? I’va enjoyed them cold. Is there a club preference?
